We had a rectangular artificial hockey pitch (approx. 2.5 by 5.5 meters) installed in our garden (we got a quote via kunstgras online, who said they had people throughout the Netherlands). The men actually came from quite far from where we live, but Gras gemak can't do anything about that. There was a huge traffic jam on Monday, causing them to arrive an hour and a half late. That wasn't really a problem in itself, as I was working from home anyway. The men went to mark out the pitch and politely asked if I agreed. The short side wasn't parallel to our garden shed and the long side wasn't parallel to our hedge, so I wanted the pitch tilted more. Apparently, this was a difficult request. They got to work on it, but in the afternoon, when I asked if it was still working out, I was told that one side was going to be longer than the other because I wanted to see the pitch moved more (he would have preferred me to leave it as he had marked it out). I tried to explain that that isn't possible. They even drew it out and later used a lunchbox lid to indicate that if you lay a rectangle differently, all sides remain the same. There was an error with the men. They didn't finish the job that day and said they would come back the following day in the afternoon. They didn't show up the next day. I had to call myself to find out. They finished the job the following week. My partner was home then. It was indicated that there was still some bulging and that this would smooth out. To date, that doesn't seem to be the case yet, so I'll just wait and see. My partner didn't hear any explanation about maintenance, even though it was said on the first day that we would receive some explanation about that. So, all in all, there is an artificial grass field. The men were very nice, consulted politely, and cleaned everything up, but it seemed like they were doing it for the first time. Additionally, I have the impression that the field is lower at the edges than in the middle, but that could be an optical illusion. I haven't heard my daughter mention it yet.
